I was born in Stirling, Scotland. I turned professional in 1994 after graduating from the University of Glasgow. I spent 11 years on the professional tour, including 6 consecutive years ranked in the world's top 10. My career-high ranking was World No. 4, which I reached on 1999. I was the head coach of the University of Rochester 2005 to 2021, I took the team from ranked CSA 25th in 2005 to #1 in 2016.
