Charmaine Reid
I started playing badminton at a young age and quickly rose through the ranks in Canada. I made my internation debut in 1998 and represented Canada at numerous international events, including the Commonwealth Games and the Pan American Games, where I won a bronze medal in the women's single event (2003), and a silver medal on the women's doubles event (2007). I also reached a career high ranking of world No. 38 in the women's singles events. After I retired from competitive badminton in 2012, I turned my focus to coaching. I currently work as a coach for the Canadian National Badmintion team.
