Paddle Palooza: Kitchener's Inaugural Pickleball Festival
This week, Black Knight was thrilled to participate in the first annual Paddle Palooza Pickleball Festival, held right in the heart of Downtown Kitchener. This exciting event celebrated North America's fastest-growing sport and brought together enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels for a day of fun, competition, and community spirit.
In partnership with Pickleball of Waterloo Wellington Region (POWWR), the City of Kitchener hosted this vibrant festival, offering everyone a chance to experience the thrill of pickleball. The City made it easy for newcomers and seasoned players alike to join in the action by installing a professional-grade pickleball court at Carl Zehr Square. Additionally, King Street West was transformed, with multiple courts set up for community drop-in play, allowing people to test their skills and enjoy the sport in a friendly, inclusive environment.
Paddle Palooza was more than just a festival; it was a celebration of community, sport, and the joy of trying something new. Whether you were a first-timer or a seasoned pro, the festival provided the perfect opportunity to get involved in the pickleball craze that’s sweeping North America.
Paddle up, Kitchener!
